Through songs, music, toys, simple instruments and loving playtime between you and your child, Kindermusik Sign & Sing shows you many signs your child can use to communicate with you.
Using research-proven methods shown to speed language development in hearing children, you'll see how sign language can ease frustration and enhance long-term learning abilities for your child. Hearing children who know signs, learn language almost twice as fast.
What You Will Learn In Class

· Recognizing and responding to your child's signs.
· Facilitating early communication and long- term learning.
· Responding to misused signs.
· Beginning reading strategies.

Portland native and artist, Heather Stellpflug earned a Bachelor's in teaching art from Concordia University. She teaches arts and crafts using recycled and repurposed materials.
Art projects for children and parents to create and explore together. Come share a creative experience with your children using recycled and repurposed materials. Different projects taught each week. All materials supplied. Just show up and get creative!
Ages: All ages.
Cost: $5/person
Note: Younger children may need assistance, but parents of older children may feel free to stay or take a break and hang out in Warehouse cafe, use the free wi-fi, or browse at Daisies and Dinos Children's Resale Store. However, due to insurance reasons, we ask that parents remain in the building while their children attend class.

New Mama groups focus on techniques to handle new mama adjustment stress including depression, anxiety, birth trauma. BBC New Mom groups meet in SE Portland, Gresham, Vancouver, WA and West-side near PPC Rock Creek. Also find us also on Meet-up!
Mama Care Group focuses on mothering beyond the first year and meets at Milagros Boutique in NE Portland.
Group is also appropriate for pregnant women struggling with depression or anxiety as well.
